Why this rank: Cavo Tagoo Mykonos is a cliffside design hotel on the Tagoo headland at the edge of Mykonos Town, a short ride from the clubs. Around 83 rooms, suites and villas step down the cliff, most with private outdoor space and many with a plunge pool; the villa and the pool suites are the group options. Its long cliff-edge infinity pool, enlarged in 2018, is the signature and runs a pool-and-DJ scene through July and August. Meraki covers Greek-Mediterranean dining, with Zuma Mykonos alongside for Japanese and an aquarium bar for cocktails. Cavo Paradiso and Scorpios are about ten minutes by shuttle, with the concierge handling tables. The trade-off is real: it is expensive, very social and not restful. Best for a group built around the pool scene and the nightlife.

Best room: A pool suite with a private cliff-edge plunge pool, or the villa for a group

Why Cavo Tagoo Mykonos for a bachelor or bachelorette weekend

Cavo Tagoo Mykonos is the island's most recognisable design hotel, built into the cliff just north of Mykonos Town. Its long infinity pool, mirror-flat against the Aegean, is the image the trip tends to be built around. Around 83 rooms and suites cascade down the cliff, each with private outdoor space and the upper categories, including the Cave Pool Suite, with their own plunge pools. What you are buying is the pool deck and the scene: contemporary black-and-white architecture, a cliff position with open sea in front, and a pool-and-DJ programme on summer afternoons. Meraki and the adjoining Zuma Mykonos handle the dining, and the town is about ten minutes downhill, with a shuttle for the climb back. The honest caveat: it is one of the priciest hotels on the island, the pool is crowded and emphatically see-and-be-seen, and it is not the place for a quiet morning. Best for a group whose weekend runs on the pool and on Mykonos Town after dark.

Best room to request

A pool suite with a private cliff-edge plunge pool, or the villa if the group needs more space.

Concierge tip

Ask the pool team to hold a section for the group's first afternoon rather than relying on a single cliff-edge table. Book the Saturday pool-and-DJ session ahead, and use the town shuttle, which runs through the evening, instead of driving.

The wider context

Cavo Tagoo Mykonos sits within our broader Top 20 Bachelor and Bachelorette Hotels list. It scored an aggregate 9.7/10 across our three editorial criteria, near the top of the field, with the pool-scene angle above earning its rank. For alternatives in the same group-trip vein, see the other hotels below. For a different destination, see the related lists.

If you have already chosen the dates, our editor recommends booking the room twelve weeks ahead. The best suites with the right view orientation go first, and inventory for the popular months is quoted in months, not weeks. Top-category rooms with private pools or terraces, the reason this hotel ranks here, are routinely the first gone.

Why this hotel works for a bachelor or bachelorette weekend

Editorial · #3 on the Top 20 Bachelor and Bachelorette Hotels 2026 list

Cavo Tagoo's case for the weekend is its cliff-edge infinity pool. Enlarged in 2018, it runs along the headland above the Aegean and anchors a pool-and-DJ scene through the July and August peak.

For a group, the villa and the two-bedroom pool suites are the headline floor plans, with standard rooms and pool suites for the rest of the party. Meraki handles Greek-Mediterranean dining and the adjoining Zuma Mykonos covers Japanese.

Mykonos Town is about ten minutes downhill, so the group can reach Cavo Paradiso, Scorpios and the Little Venice bars without driving, and the concierge arranges tables at the clubs and beach clubs such as Nammos. The airport is about fifteen minutes by transfer. The honest caveat is the price and the crowds: this is a scene, not a retreat. Best for a Mykonos weekend built around the pool and the nightlife.
