LYO Boutique Hotel Mykonos

Perched above Super Paradise Beach, the design-led boutique for a smaller bachelorette.

The verdict: LYO Boutique Hotel Mykonos is a four-star, design-led boutique of roughly 30 suites perched above Super Paradise Beach, about 5 km from Mykonos Town. For a smaller bachelorette that wants beach-club days and a quick taxi to Town at night, it delivers the setting and the Cycladic-suite look for well below the marquee-resort rate.

Why does LYO work for a Mykonos bachelorette?

It works because the party beach is on your doorstep and Town is a short taxi away. LYO Boutique Hotel Mykonos, formerly Amyth of Mykonos Super Paradise, sits on the hillside directly above Super Paradise, one of the island's two headline party beaches. The bachelorette rhythm here is beach clubs by day, a quick ride into Mykonos Town by night, and a calm, design-led base to recover in between. That is a genuinely different proposition from the in-Town hotels, and for a group of four to six it is often the more relaxed choice.

The property leans contemporary Cycladic: white-and-stone interiors, private terraces, and sea-swept balconies rather than the fussier traditional look of the older Town hotels. Because it is a boutique of around 30 rooms and suites rather than a 100-key resort, service is personal and the group is not lost in a crowd. What you trade for that intimacy is five-star infrastructure and walking access to Little Venice, so it suits parties who are happy to build the trip around Super Paradise and taxis rather than a stumble-home-on-foot Town base.

What is the best room to request?

For four friends sharing, ask for the Deluxe Two Bedroom Sea View Suite. At around 60 square metres with two bedrooms, a private terrace and Aegean views, it keeps the group together without anyone drawing the short straw. If the budget stretches, the 78-square-metre Infinity Suite with Private Pool is the bride's-party splurge, with an infinity pool looking straight out over Super Paradise and the sea beyond.

Couples travelling as part of the group do well in the Panorama Sea View Suite or the Aegean Honeymoon Suite, both of which pair a private terrace with an outdoor jetted tub. Entry-level travellers can still get a sea aspect in the Superior Side Sea View Room at about 30 square metres. Across every category the design language is consistent, so there are no bad rooms, only better views and more space as you move up.

Concierge tip

Spend the day at the Super Paradise beach clubs a short walk downhill, then pre-book a transfer or taxi into Mykonos Town for dinner and Little Venice at sunset. Island taxis are famously scarce in peak season, so arrange the evening ride in the morning rather than trying to hail one at 8pm.

Where exactly is LYO, and how do you get around?

LYO is above Super Paradise Beach on the south coast, roughly 5 km from the centre of Mykonos Town and about a 15 to 20 minute drive from Mykonos International Airport. This is the single most important thing to understand before you book: you are not walking to Little Venice from here. The beach and its clubs are a short downhill stroll, but Town, its restaurants and its nightlife need a taxi, a pre-booked transfer, or a rented ATV or car.

For a bachelorette that plans to base its evenings in Town, budget for transfers both ways and book them ahead. Many groups actually prefer this: the beach-club scene is where the daytime energy is, and arriving into Town by taxi beats organising a big group on foot. If your priority is instead rolling out of the hotel straight into Little Venice, a Mykonos Town property such as one higher on our list will fit better.

The honest cons

LYO earns its place, but three trade-offs are worth naming so you book it for the right reasons.

  • Not walkable to Mykonos Town. Little Venice and the Town bars are about 5 km away, so every evening out means a taxi or transfer, and Mykonos taxis are scarce and pricey in season. Plan rides in advance.
  • Four-star, not a grande dame. LYO is a design-led boutique, not a full five-star resort. You get personal service and a great look, but not the spa-and-butler infrastructure of the marquee properties.
  • Hillside and party-beach setting. The site is stepped, so expect stairs between levels, and Super Paradise itself is loud and busy at the height of summer, which is the point for some groups and the drawback for others.

How LYO compares on this list

Against its neighbours on our Top 20 Mykonos bachelorette ranking, LYO is the beach-club-adjacent, value-boutique option. It scored an editorial 9.2 out of 10 across Room and Design, Service and Location, which places it at number 15. Where Cali Mykonos leans all-suite splurge and Petasos Beach Resort trades on its Town-edge position, LYO's pitch is the Super Paradise setting at an accessible rate for a smaller group. Have firm dates? Book roughly twelve weeks out. The Infinity Suite with Private Pool and the two-bedroom suites, the very rooms that make LYO work for a group, are the first to sell out for the July and August peak.
