Jeeva Klui is Lombok's most reliable mid-luxury beach boutique: 35 suites and villas on Klui Beach, a 25-metre infinity pool plus an adults-only one, the Jeevaniya Spa, and sunsets across the strait to Bali. Entry rooms quoted from about $110 in July 2026. The trade-offs are dark-grey sand, one restaurant, and an hour from the airport.
Jeeva Klui is the flagship of Jeeva Resorts, the Indonesian group that also runs Jeeva Santai and the Jeeva Beloam beach camp elsewhere on Lombok, Jeeva Mandalika in the south, and Jeeva Saba and Jeeva Tirta on Bali. The resort calls itself the "Soul of Klui" and sits directly on Klui Beach in Malaka, in the Pemenang district of the north-west coast, a few minutes' drive beyond the Senggigi strip and roughly an hour from Lombok International Airport in the south. It has held a Tripadvisor Top 25 Hotels in Indonesia badge across the 2013 to 2025 run and won a Luxury Lifestyle Award for its beachfront category in 2024.
Thirty-five suites and villas sit in eight categories along the resort's roughly 170-metre beachfront and the gardens behind it. The entry room is the Asta Deluxe Suite, 43 sqm with garden and pool views. The middle of the book is where most people should look: the Ananda Pura Partial Ocean View Suite and the Ananda Segarra Beachfront Suite are both 65 sqm, and the Ananda Segarra Beachfront Villa and the Astama Oceanfront Villa are both 71 sqm and sit on the sand. The top of the property is three pool villas, the Akasha at 121 sqm, the Astama Pool Villa at 123 sqm, and the Amra Duplex Pool Villa at 124 sqm over two storeys, the only category built for four adults. There is no royal suite, no presidential villa, and no bungalow category, whatever other listings tell you.
Dining is a single room, and the resort does not pretend otherwise. The Waroeng runs from 7am to 11pm daily on an oceanfront verandah above the pool and the beach, serving Western, Indonesian and Asian dishes at a communal long table, under the banyan tree on the outdoor verandah, or down on the beachfront deck; the room is styled after a traditional Lombok village long house, and there is a limited late-night room-service menu when the kitchen closes. The Wallace library lounge, air-conditioned and named for the naturalist Alfred Russel Wallace, is where cocktails, tapas, books, board games and the resort's DVD catalogue live. The main infinity pool is nearly 25 metres, which is long enough to swim rather than wallow; there is a second, adults-only pool, and a cold pool and sauna inside the spa compound.
The spa is the Jeevaniya, an adults-only pavilion with two couples' treatment rooms and two single rooms, all of them looking across the Lombok Strait toward the mountains of Bali, open 9am to 9pm with the last booking at 8pm. It is also the best-value thing on the property by a distance: the 2025 menu prices a 60-minute Balinese massage at IDR 493,000, about US$30, and discounts every treatment except the signature rituals by 30 percent between 9am and 1pm. Book the morning slot. Nothing else on Lombok's west coast at this rate delivers a beachfront room, a 25-metre pool and a proper spa, and that arithmetic, rather than any single luxury flourish, is why the resort keeps its guests coming back.
Book the Ananda Segarra Beachfront Suite (65 sqm) or, if the budget stretches, the Beachfront Villa (71 sqm): both put you on the sand for the sunset over the strait toward Bali. Dinner is on the Waroeng's beachfront deck, and the Jeevaniya runs couples' rituals, including a three-and-a-half-hour Escape for Two that ends with lunch. Bangsal pier is 20 minutes away, so a Gili Trawangan, Gili Air or Gili Meno day trip slots in easily. Honest limit: one restaurant. Ten nights here and you will have read the menu.
For a milestone, take the Astama Oceanfront Villa (71 sqm) or one of the pool villas, the Akasha or the Astama, where the plunge pool buys you the privacy the public infinity pool deliberately does not offer. Time the Jeevaniya couples' ritual for the 9am to 1pm window, when everything but the signature rituals runs 30 percent cheaper, and keep the evening for the beachfront deck. The beach is quiet outside July and August. This is a calm anniversary, not a grand one; if you want ceremony, Lombok's Sire Beach resorts do it better.
The solo case is the strongest one here, and it is built on three things: the adults-only pool, the Jeevaniya's low prices, and the Waroeng's communal long table, which solves the problem of eating alone for a week without anyone making a performance of it. The Wallace lounge, with its library and board games, is the wet-afternoon answer. An Asta Deluxe Suite at the entry rate makes this one of the cheapest ways to spend a fortnight on a quiet Indonesian beach with a spa attached. Bring a book; the nightlife is in Senggigi and it is not much.

Read enough of the recent reviews on Tripadvisor, Expedia and Trip.com and the same three notes recur. Service is the headline every time, and it is the reason the resort has carried a Tripadvisor Top 25 Hotels in Indonesia badge from 2013 through 2025 rather than a design award. Rooms are called spacious and clean, and the beachfront categories earn their premium. The recurring complaint is dining: one restaurant, at resort prices, against the cheap warungs a short drive down the coast in Senggigi. The dark-grey sand and the hour from the airport come up constantly too, but as expectations to set rather than faults to fix.
One restaurant is a real constraint at a resort an hour from anywhere, and no amount of goodwill at the long table changes the fact that a fortnight here means fourteen dinners off one menu. Budget for taxis into Senggigi. The sand is dark grey and volcanic, calm and swimmable, but nobody should arrive expecting the white powder of the Gilis, which are visible from the beach and are a different product entirely. The pools ban floats, which is the correct call for the adults but a needless irritation for families who have not read the fine print and booked a garden suite. And the entry-category Asta Deluxe Suite, at 43 sqm, is half the size of the pool villas: this is a property where the money buys a genuinely different stay, so book up if you can and skip it if you cannot.
