Best Hotels in Paros: The Complete 2026 Guide

The quieter, more grounded Cyclades, with five hotels worth booking across three distinct corners of the island.

The Short Answer

The Paros Hotel Scene

Paros is the Cyclades island that frequent Greece travelers quietly rate above its famous neighbours. It has the postcard whitewash and blue water of Santorini and Mykonos without the cruise-ship crush or the velvet-rope pricing. The luxury hotel scene is small and concentrated: rather than dozens of caldera suites, Paros has five serious properties, led by Cosme and Parilio in the north, both genuinely best-in-class. That scarcity is part of the appeal; the best of them feel like discoveries rather than institutions.

The center of gravity for a high-end stay is the north, around Naoussa, a working fishing village turned dining-and-design hub, with the island's best tavernas, cocktail bars and beach clubs clustered around its little harbour. The famous granite coves of Kolymbithres Beach sit just across the bay. A second, quieter cluster sits at Parasporos, just south of Parikia, where Andronis Minois and Yria put the ferry port and airport within a ten-minute drive. The third corner is the southeast coast near Punda Beach, where Summer Senses gives families the space the boutique north cannot.

Where to Stay by Area

Naoussa & Naoussa Bay, best for luxury

The north coast is where you want to be for the full experience. Naoussa village has the food, the bars and the charm; Naoussa Bay has the beaches and the island's top hotel. Cosme sits right on the bay for beachfront swimming and dining, a short hop from the village. It's the most convenient luxury base on the island.

Kolymbithres, best for design & calm

Across the bay from Naoussa, near the sculpted granite coves of Kolymbithres Beach, the mood is quieter and more inland. Parilio is here, the island's design statement piece. Beautiful and peaceful, but plan on a car or taxi for town and beach, roughly 20 minutes away.

Parasporos & Parikia, best for easy arrivals

Parikia, the capital and main ferry port, is busier and less charming than Naoussa, but the Parasporos beach area just south of it solves a real problem: transfers. Andronis Minois is about eight minutes from the port and ten from the airport, and Yria sits in its gardens nearby. Ideal for short stays and island-hoppers.

Punda & the southeast, best for families

The southeast coast trades village charm for space, calmer logistics and bigger footprints. Summer Senses is the anchor here, with three pools and family suites. The trade-off is distance: Naoussa dinners mean a 20-to-25-minute drive each way, so self-catering lunches and pool days carry more of the week.

The Five Hotels Worth Booking

All five are seasonal. The real choice is between the Naoussa scene, Parasporos convenience and southeast family space.

Cosme, a Luxury Collection Resort, best overall

9.0

The complete Paros luxury stay: 40 neutral-toned suites on Naoussa Bay, a half-moon infinity pool curved to echo the water, and a serious kitchen at the beachfront Parostia, led by chef Yiannis Kioroglou. Some suites add private pools. Why book it: you can swim from the hotel, eat exceptionally well without leaving, and still walk Naoussa after dark. The con: it prices at the top of the island, and while children of all ages are welcome and babysitting can be arranged, the resort stocks no cribs or extra beds, so young families need to book up in suite size. Parilio, a Member of Design Hotels, best for design & value

8.9

The island's design icon: 46 suites and villas in lime plaster and local stone, a vaulted spa, and a meditative calm near Kolymbithres. Breakfast on the terrace is a standout. All ages are welcome in policy, and the Kinship program arranges family craft and cooking experiences, but the mood is unmistakably grown-up. Why book it: the most coherent design on Paros and the best value at this level. The con: it's inland, a car is effectively required, and poolside drinks run high. Read the full Parilio review →

Andronis Minois, best for easy arrivals

8.7

A 44-suite Small Luxury Hotels member a short walk above Parasporos beach, relaunched under the Andronis flag in May 2024, with the Olvo restaurant and Aura spa on site and its season running May 4 to October 15. The port is about eight minutes away, the airport about ten, which makes it the least stressful arrival on the island. Why book it: sunset-facing sea views without a single long transfer. The con: Parasporos is quiet at night, and the suite-led setup favours couples over families with small children. Read the full Andronis Minois review →

Summer Senses Luxury Resort, best for families

8.6

The one Paros luxury hotel actually built with children in mind: 100 rooms and suites near Punda Beach on the southeast coast, three pools including a shallow family pool, family suites that sleep four, children's menus, and an Anassa spa for the adults. A Small Luxury Hotels member, closed November to April. Why book it: space, water and food for every age without giving up the five-star finish. The con: the southeast catches the meltemi wind and is the furthest cluster from Naoussa's restaurants. Read the full Summer Senses review →

Yria Island Boutique Hotel & Spa, best for gardens & wellness

8.4

A 60-room bungalow village in flowering gardens about 100 metres from Parasporos bay and roughly 3 km from Parikia, built around its spa and a greener, softer idea of Paros. Two-storey maisonettes with two bedrooms sleep families of four properly, and there's a dedicated children's pool and kids' menus. Why book it: the rare combination of a wellness stay that also genuinely works with kids along. The con: it feels more traditional than the design hotels above, and the beach is a short walk rather than steps away. Read the full Yria review →

Which Paros Hotels Actually Work for Families?

Two of the five, and the answer depends on your children's ages. Summer Senses is the purpose-built option: family suites sleeping four, a shallow family pool alongside its two freeform pools, and children's menus as standard, all on the flat, spread-out southeast coast where a stroller is no hardship. Yria is the quieter alternative near Parikia, where two-storey, two-bedroom maisonettes give everyone a door to close, the children's pool is separate from the main one, and the port transfer is mercifully short with tired kids in tow.

The design pair up north needs more thought. Cosme welcomes all ages and will arrange babysitting, but it stocks no cribs or extra beds, so a family of four means booking into a larger suite category from the start. Parilio welcomes children in policy and runs family craft and cooking sessions through its Kinship program, yet the sunken-pool serenity is really an adult pleasure; it suits teenagers who appreciate the aesthetic, not toddlers who need a splash zone. For beach days from either, the sheltered granite coves at Kolymbithres offer calmer, shallower water than the open southern strands.

One honest line before you book: Paros luxury is boutique in scale, and none of these properties is a childcare resort. If a supervised kids' club with drop-off mornings is the requirement, the big Elounda resorts on Crete do that job better. Paros is for families who plan to spend the day together and want the island, not the programming, to do the entertaining.

When to Visit & How to Get There

When: late May to mid-June and September are the sweet spots, warm seas, thinner crowds, and gentler rates than the July-August peak, which is the hottest, busiest and priciest stretch. The hotels are strictly seasonal: Andronis Minois runs May 4 to October 15, Summer Senses closes from November to April, and the others follow a similar late-April-to-October rhythm, so book the shoulder weeks if you want the island closer to its quiet self.

Getting there: the fastest route is to fly Athens to Paros (PAS) in about 45 minutes on Sky Express or Aegean. By sea, high-speed catamarans from Piraeus take 2.5 to 3.5 hours and conventional ferries 4 to 5 hours; Paros is the first major Cyclades stop from Piraeus, so it's one of the shorter crossings.

Transfers to Naoussa: from Paros airport, about 20 minutes by taxi (roughly €25 to 30). From Parikia ferry port, also about 20 minutes (taxi around €20 to 23), with buses running the route in about 20 minutes. Staying at Parasporos instead cuts both transfers to under ten minutes. Note that some of Naoussa's lanes are too narrow for cars, so a driver may drop you a short walk from the door.

Paros Hotels, FAQ

Where should I stay in Paros?

For the classic luxury week, around Naoussa in the north, home to the best food, the harbour, Cosme and Parilio. For easy arrivals, the Parasporos hotels (Andronis Minois, Yria) sit minutes south of Parikia's port and airport. Families get the most space in the southeast at Summer Senses.

What is the best luxury hotel in Paros?

Cosme, a Luxury Collection Resort (HFK 9.0) overall, for its beachfront setting and dining. Parilio (8.9) for design and romance, Andronis Minois (8.7) for port and airport access, Summer Senses (8.6) for families, Yria (8.4) for gardens and spa.

Which Paros hotel is best for families?

Summer Senses in the southeast: family suites sleep four, one of its three pools is a shallow family pool, and children's menus are standard. Yria near Parikia is the alternative, with two-storey maisonettes and a dedicated children's pool. Cosme welcomes all ages but has no cribs or extra beds.

How do you get to Paros?

Fly Athens to Paros (PAS, ~45 min) on Sky Express or Aegean, or ferry from Piraeus, 2.5 to 3.5 hrs by high-speed catamaran, 4 to 5 hrs conventional.

How far is Naoussa from the airport and port?

About 20 minutes from Paros airport (taxi ~€25 to 30) and about 20 minutes from Parikia port (taxi ~€20 to 23, buses ~20 min). The Parasporos hotels cut those transfers to under ten minutes.

When is the best time to visit?

Late May to mid-June and September, warm seas, fewer crowds, better rates than July-August. The hotels are seasonal: Andronis Minois runs May 4 to October 15, Summer Senses closes November to April, and most others run late April to October.

Is Paros better than Mykonos or Santorini?

Quieter, more authentic and better value than both. Mykonos for nightlife, Santorini for the caldera, Paros for a calmer week with five genuinely good hotels across three areas.

Do you need a car in Paros?

For Parilio, effectively yes. For Cosme you can manage on taxis given its proximity to Naoussa. From Summer Senses and the Parasporos hotels, plan on driving for Naoussa evenings, about 20 to 25 minutes each way.
